I am about to embark on my first guitar building project(I have chosen a “serviced kit” from ILM, based on the Martin D-28, to learn from.) and I am starting to build my jigs and fixtures for it. Two of which will be the sanding dishes. Does anyone know what the top and bottom radii are for the Martin D-28? |

Yep Martin backs are a bit on the flat side. Till this May I built to Martin spec's on OOO,OM and dreads, but now I use 18' radius on Dereads, 15' on OOO and OM's |

Welcome to the OLF Howard! Starting with a Kit is a great idea - My first was a D-18 kit, it allows you to seriously get your feet wet and end up with a pretty nice guitar when your done. If your like most (and I'm guessing you are) You'll be ordering wood for #2 before #1 is half done ![]() Best wishes Lance |
